Backed by research and based on 20 years of neuroscience advancement, Brain Balance takes a completely different, drug-free approach to helping children with developmental challenges by addressing the root cause, instead of masking symptoms. The root cause? Simply put, one part of the brain is not speaking to another part of the brain as well as it could. But the brain can be strengthened, after all. Brain Balance can help your child build and improve its connections, driving profound results.
It's tough watching your child struggle and not knowing how to help. As the number of children diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, autism, anxiety and behavioral disorders grows, more and more parents are asking — is there a better way? Fortunately, there is. The Brain Balance Program has helped more than 45,000 kids & counting improve their ability to focus, stay on task, remember and achieve in school.
At Brain Balance Center of Lake Mary we understand the pain and frustration of watching your child struggle with learning or behavioral issues. Here, and at our centers around the country, we have helped thousands of kids overcome their challenges. Our groundbreaking program provides lasting results because we don’t simply work with a child’s strengths or compensate for a weakness, we tackle the root cause of the issue.
At Brain Balance, there is hope for children struggling with meltdowns, low confidence and/or focusing both inside and outside of the classroom. Our holistic program can help children with a variety of childhood developmental and learning disorders, including Attention Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Asperger Syndrome, and Leaky Gut. Our program at Brain Balance Achievement Center of Lake Mary addresses the root cause of each child’s unique issue and creates a custom plan based on the results of a child’s personal assessment. Our center’s drug-free, integrated approach combines sensory-motor activities, academic skill activities, and a healthy eating program with at-home exercises to address the whole-child. Want to help your child achieve their full potential? Contact Brain Balance Achievement Center of Lake Mary to get started.
Our unique Brain Balance Program® addresses the whole child by integrating sensory motor training and stimulation and academic activities with nutritional and dietary guidelines. This unique integrated approach is key to what makes Brain Balance different and so effective.

The Brain Balance Program offers a comprehensive, drug-free option that goes beyond the more traditional, mainstream approaches you may have tried. It addresses the root of your child’s challenges, instead of masking them.
Neuroplasticity which is the brain’s ability to change and reorganize itself, developing new connections and pruning away weak ones. The program is designed to work the brain like an athlete works their body, strengthening neural connections between different regions of the brain to improve cognitive skills and executive function. When these skills and functions improve, a child may be more confident and better equipped to engage and thrive in the world around them.
A Whole-Brain Approach
The program activates many regions of the brain all at once through sensory engagement, physical development and academic learning activities, to strengthen and build the pathways across different regions of the brain.

Brain Balance has been such a blessing. Our son was diagnosed with ADHD & anxiety. Every school year, it seemed he’d lose two years’ worth of learning. He’d get to two years ahead by the end of the school year, but by the new year, he’d flounder. The teachers and doctors just kept throwing more medications at us. We’ve always known he was gifted, but the schools never saw it. They saw a “busy boy”. With the help of Brain Balance, Eli has been able to come off all of his medications and he has learned coping skills when anxiety strikes (much less often than before). His angry outbursts have lessened substantially. It is refreshing to see how happy he is. I heard him laugh about halfway through the program. We had forgotten how rarely he was laughing. It was a beautiful sound!! He is less clumsy, too!!

Olivia received her first bike when she was 5 years old. She could not ride it even with training wheels because her balance and coordination were so bad. After about 2 years she could finally ride with training wheels, but we never thought she would be able to get rid of the training wheels. 3 months after starting Brain Balance, Olivia was able to ride her bike without training wheels. She is doing so well and is so confident. We are so happy and hopeful about the progress Olivia is making at Brain Balance.

Brain Balance has made positive changes for my son Hezkel. He lives a healthy life now with good nutrition and exercises provided by Brain Balance. He can do sports including riding a bike, basketball, soccer, and swimming. His balance has improved a lot so he can do many of these things with ease. His comprehension is improving as well. He is able to have a two-way conversation now. He has better eye contact and he can recognize other's emotions. He is interested in meeting new people. We hope his social skills will improve after the program is finished so we can go back to a normal routine and he can go back to school.

Amanda’s work and passion is to help children reach their full potential and see families healed and restored! She comes to Orlando with over 15 years of experience, beginning as a classroom teacher working with children with autism. Brain Balance may be new to Orlando, FL but Amanda is not new to Brain Balance! After witnessing the results of the Brain Balance program from one of her students, she ended her teaching career to join the Brain Balance team in 2007. Amanda was the Center Director of the Brain Balance in Peachtree City, GA for five years serving families who had children suffering from symptoms of ADHD, sensory processing, dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
In 2012 Amanda moved to Kansas City to develop a Brain Balance within a therapeutic residential boarding school for adolescents. There she gained experience collaborating with therapists, educators, and housing staff to develop a holistic brain-based approach serving struggling teens. Currently, Amanda is working on her Ph.D. in Brain Rehabilitation and specifically is doing research on the topic of the development of empathy! In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, the outdoors, and traveling abroad! She is excited to have the opportunity to serve families in the Orlando area!

She has recently graduated top of her class from the University of Central Florida and has received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. As a young child, Jacqueline was taught the importance of having an education and has since then focused diligently on her academic studies. Aside from her admiration of nature and love of drawing, Jacqueline has a vested interest in learning, teaching, and helping others achieve their goals. In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, volunteering at animal shelters, and traveling. Ashley grew up in Deltona, Florida. She graduated from Daytona State College with her Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education. Ashley continued on to the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While in school she taught VPK at Keiki’s Place Child Care Center in Deltona. Shortly after graduation, she got a part-time job at a learning center working one on one with students of all ages for eighteen months until the center relocated. She then heard about Brain Balance and researched the approach and decided it was exactly what she was looking for. She is excited to be a part of making any students that come through the program feel that they can be successful, as well as helping them to change their life for themselves and their families.
Kennerly loves back packing, camping, kayaking, and traveling. She lives in Windermere, FL with her always energetic huskies. Their names are Dakota and Layla.
She has a younger brother who was diagnosed at an early age with severe ADHD. She watched him grow and struggle to overcome his diagnosis, learn, and successfully graduate from the University of West Georgia. Her passion to work with students who are struggling, comes from his journey.
She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a minor in Applied Statistics.
She started with Brain Balance of Atlanta in 2013 as a Sensory Motor/Cognitive Coach, transitioned to Assistant Director, and later Program Director. She has worked with many different children and families through the program, and loves watching the students grow and develop.
She has traveled to many parts of Florida and fell in love with many areas in the state. She jumped at the offer when an opportunity to move to Florida, and continue to work for Brain Balance as a Center Director arose. She believes strongly in what Brain Balance stands for, and that every child has the potential to learn, grow, and achieve great things.
