Brain Balance does not require that a child has a medical diagnosis, nor do we clinically diagnose medical conditions. Our focus is on understanding the struggles these children experience and helping them develop and strengthen the connections to help reduce those struggles.
For those who do have a diagnosis,1 research has shown that the unique challenges your child is facing can be linked to weak connections across different regions of the brain.
The Brain Balance assessment provides you with a deeper view of your child’s struggles. During the assessment, your child’s sensory, motor and cognitive development are evaluated. This assessment helps identify areas of development that need strengthening. The reasons why a child may excel in some areas but has trouble in others will become clearer. From the results, we create a plan that helps your child overcome their struggles.

When kids struggle with focus, behavior or sensory processing, it can be linked to weak connections across different regions in the brain. The good news is, we know that the brain can change in a way that may lead to improvements for your child or teen. The Brain Balance program exercises and activities are uniquely designed to help strengthen and build new connections by using a combination of physical, sensory, and cognitive activities. These new, efficient, and effective connections in the brain lead to improvements in our ability to complete cognitive tasks and in our executive functioning:
When these skills and functions improve, a child may feel improved confidence and be better equipped to engage and thrive in the world around them.

The struggles they experienced in the past may be familiar to you.
My son’s speaking fluency has improved significantly, one would not know he was once a severe stutterer. His communication processing is greatly improved, no delays in responding and we know that he knows/understands immediately. He expresses his awareness and really has a keen sense of good/bad, right/wrong and he is not afraid to challenge if he hears anything negative or disagreeable.
7 year-old Overall, I am seeing great improvement in my son’s attitude and confidence. My son is trying out new social skills; he is engaging in play with others more often. He has taken the initiative to interact and play with kids that he does not know. He also seems to be more focused and able to sit for longer periods.
17 year-old with Autism My son has better eye contact. He likes to play table tennis, and previously the longest we could play was 10-15 minutes. This past Sunday, he played for 45 minutes and I was the one who wanted to stop for a break!
The past five years of Lynn and Jason’s family’s life were filled with health challenges that seemed insurmountable. Leaning on God through these times allowed them to come out on the other side, stronger and more blessed than they could have ever imagined. With grateful hearts, they turned their eyes upward and asked, “What is your plan for us God? We are here to serve.” God answered them with an overwhelming need to use their talents to help children in need. As a middle school teacher of seventeen years, Lynn worked tirelessly to help the kids who struggled. Regardless of the amount of blood sweat and tears she poured into these kids, their gains never seemed to be enough. Jason worked as a CNC machinist for thirteen years, although he loved his job, he has always had an amazing way with children. He has a passion for helping them see the best in themselves.
Lynn started researching programs that help children, and that is when she found Brain Balance. Together, they jumped in with both feet, as they knew it was the direction they needed to go. They have also enrolled their son in the program and he is growing and thriving. Lynn has found immeasurable joy in helping kids make profound change and watching families’ lives change for the better. Jason, has taken on the Program Director role and loves working with children and helping them find their highest potential. The mission of this center is to help as many children as possible grow to their God given potential.
My name is Emily Kregloski and I am the Family Relations Coordinator. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Marquette University and I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. My career at Brain Balance just fell into my lap, and working here has been the greatest experience. My background is more untraditional in that I mainly worked with young adults on college campuses leading up to my time here. I have many transferable skills and experiences that I bring to Brain Balance from nannying growing up, learning about early childhood development through my major in Psychology, and supervising a college desk staff that had students with different struggles and disabilities. I have loved working with kids and their families here and seeing the lasting change and impact we are able to make for them. Brain Balance has changed my life, and I am extremely confident that as a team here we can change your life too!
