We have helped more than 40,000 kids get to the root of their struggles and achieve lasting improvements, including:
Brain Balance does not require that a child has a medical diagnosis, nor do we clinically diagnose medical conditions. Our focus is on understanding the struggles these children experience and helping them develop and strengthen the connections to help reduce those struggles.
For those who do have a diagnosis,1 research has shown that the unique challenges your child is facing can be linked to weak connections across different regions of the brain.
The Brain Balance assessment provides you with a deeper view of your child’s struggles. During the assessment, your child’s sensory, motor and cognitive development are evaluated. This assessment helps identify areas of development that need strengthening. The reasons why a child may excel in some areas but has trouble in others will become clearer. From the results, we create a plan that helps your child overcome their struggles.
Fill out our form now to get started. A Brain Balance team member will reach out to personally discuss your child’s challenges and schedule your child’s assessment.
When kids struggle with focus, behavior or sensory processing, it can be linked to weak connections across different regions in the brain. The good news is, we know that the brain can change in a way that may lead to improvements for your child or teen. The Brain Balance program exercises and activities are uniquely designed to help strengthen and build new connections by using a combination of physical, sensory, and cognitive activities. These new, efficient, and effective connections in the brain lead to improvements in our ability to complete cognitive tasks and in our executive functioning:
When these skills and functions improve, a child may feel improved confidence and be better equipped to engage and thrive in the world around them.
The Brain Balance program was recently part of a research study conducted by Harvard University’s McLean Hospital. The research study focused on the impact of aspects of the Brain Balance program, completed at home, on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).We are incredibly excited to share the preliminary findings of this ongoing research.

The struggles they experienced in the past may be familiar to you.
"Spencer has come a long way since beginning Brain Balance. At the start, Spencer was often depressed and would fly into giant tantrums at seemingly small things. Now he is a lot more confident and happy. He wants to go to school and is making many new friends. Spence is now getting invited to do things. He has lost weight …and has a lot more energy. In the past, he was always sluggish despite his healthy diet. Spencer also very rarely has any meltdowns; and, if he does they are easily handled. He has opened up a lot and has even started giving hugs on his own. Thank you Brain Balance for giving me the tools and help I’ve needed in giving Spencer a brighter future." – Kristen B. Mother of Spencer – Age 11
"Gerardo used to answer use only one-word answers if he answered at all. Today he is speaking in full sentences and asks questions about everything! My son is more in touch with his feelings and expresses his emotions. I’m reminded each week why Brain Balance San Antonio is worth our commute from Houston when I get to see my son smile." -Father of Gerardo
"Within the last month, Zach seems like a completely new person. His conversations are more with substance, he is more motivated, more energetic, and he wants to be outside more. Zach has also become more social, will hold a conversation with family now, and introduces himself to people he doesn’t know. He is also beginning to feel true empathy towards others and is more sensitive. During a long road trip to Missouri, Zach did not whine or complain and went with the flow, which he never would have done before. His patience has definitely improved. He is much more helpful at home, offering to help with things that need to get done where I don’t think he even noticed those things before."

Jennie joined the Brain Balance family in December 2017 as Center Director. She received her B.A. as well as her M.A. from Southwest Texas State University. During her tenure at SWT, she played 5 years of collegiate softball on an athletic scholarship. Having discipline, desire, passion, and perseverance she grained a love of life she wanted to share with people. She began working part-time for a local San Antonio business and grew her love of people even further into management full time. Her abilities to build rapport, be transparent, lead, and motivate others to give their best daily has become an asset she looks forward to sharing with her Brain Balance family. In the early morning hours, you can catch her rockin’ a WOD at Crossfit, playing softball in her spare time, loving on her kids, and enjoying life.
