Stories from Brain Balance Center of Wexford

"Our sons, impulsivity and emotional control or becoming too big of an issue at home. He has ADHD, and we have always been so proud of his ability to hold it together during school. But when he would get home, the meltdowns happened. Once he hit third grade, the intensity of them started to worsen, and we knew that we needed to try something new. Brain Balance has helped our son so much. Now in fourth grade, we see less meltdowns after school, and when they do occur, they are shorter in length. His emotional control has grown tremendously, and overall our family has benefited from these positive changes. "

Jessica, Brain Balance Parent in 2023

"Remy’s School suggested that she should seek assistance for characteristics of ADHD, impulsiveness, hyperactive, etc. Remy has always been a very spirited, strong-willed, intense child. I refused to accept her pediatrician's recommendation to medicate. I felt that this was a band-aid solution to a longer issue, but I didn’t know how to address it. Brain Balance was mentioned by a friend so I gave the center a call. Megan was like a shining light in a very dark situation. She instantly understood my child and explained how to get to the root cause of for issues. It was a turning point for our family. During the Brain Balance program it is challenging, but 100% worth it. it has helped us understand our daughter better and how to interact with her in a way that brings positive results. Remy’s social skills have improved. She interacts with other kids more appropriately. She is able to sit and do her homework without having to hover over her, and she is much more cooperative at home. Brain Balance brings relief and lasting benefits for the child and for the entire family. Thank you to everyone at the center. "

"I discovered Brain Balance through a Google search after feeling that there was no hope and being on several 6 to 8 month waiting lists for different places. As I researched more, I felt confident to hear about the program and how it works. Beckham has ADHD, hyperactive/impulsiveness plus anxiety. He was struggling in social settings in school. We were getting messages constantly about his behavior and felt defeated. The Brain Balance Program and the team at the Wexford Center were absolutely amazing. The support and reassurance gave us hope again. After finishing the program, I can say for certain this program was the best decision we made. Beckham has so much more confidence in himself, he’s able to control his impulses more, and settle his body and mind when he needs to. Our family is no longer on edge constantly and day-to-day activities run smoother and feel much more enjoyable. We love our Brain Balance family, and all that they have done to help support our journey. "
