Brain Balance Center of The Woodlands
Brain Balance Has a Non-Medical Approach to Help Your Child
Brain Balance is the leading drug-free program designed to help kids improve focus, behavior, social skills, anxiety, and academic performance. Our comprehensive programming incorporates learnings from cognitive, behavioral and nutrition fields—an integrated approach that is literally redefining what’s possible.
Is something blocking your child’s social, behavioral or academic progress? Brain Balance picks up where conventional approaches leave off, going beyond the treatment of symptoms to address root causes. At Brain Balance, we’re not about coping with barriers. We’re about knocking them down, one small breakthrough at a time.
Research Shows Brain Balance is Effective
A Harvard study found that kids who participated in the Brain Balance Program saw a significant reduction in ADHD index scores, discernible changes in hyperactivity, enhanced cognitive attention, and reductions in oppositional behavior.
We are continually collaborating with world class researchers to show the efficacy of the program and reveal through data how the Brain Balance Program can help children, teens and adults improve.

Stories from local families
"Brain Balance has been a true blessing for our family. I had seen a Brain Balance ad in one of our local magazines and called to make an appointment for my husband and I to visit with Dr. Randall. We were over the top impress with his knowledge and his ability to describe Brady to a “T” without ever have meeting him."
Robyn R.
"Looking back, Brain Balance was an integral part in our family “normalizing.” We spent considerable resources attempting to do so and when we found BB, it was like the fog lifted and we hadn’t fully realized we were in inclement weather. The people there knew what we were going through, almost like magic, without us having to tell them. They spoke Jordan’s language and she responded immediately, finally feeling like someone gets her."
Darla B.
"We have been so excited to see the changes in our son after going through the Brain Balance program. His processing speed and skills improved tremendously in school and in other areas of his life. He became a more confident and happier child as he experienced new success academically, socially, and daily living. We are so pleased with our results from Brain Balance that I would highly recommend it for any child."

Heather Wells
Owner & Executive Director
Heather has been working with children, teens, and adults experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, learning, sensorimotor, and other issues for nearly 30 years. She completed her graduate work at TWU and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and her resume’ spans hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and Early Childhood Intervention. She has obtained certifications and advanced training in treatments for multiple neurodevelopmental challenges, including her designation as a Board Certified Cognitive Specialist.
Grace Smith
Program Director
Grace earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences and a Master’s in Business Administration, along with the certification of Child Life Specialist. With her kid-at-heart mentality, Grace has over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages. She joined our Brain Balance team after having worked at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she served on the Patient and Family Experience Committee and provided supportive interventions to patients ages 0-18 in the Trauma One Pediatric Emergency Center and inpatient wings. She was also the Student Practicum Rotation Manager, a supervisor of new employees, and an educational content speaker. When Grace was young, she struggled with reading. Her parents took her to countless tutors and learning specialists, and no one could determine where the disconnect was. It was not until Grace’s parents discovered that her eyes were not tracking properly—thereby making it difficult for her to sound out words and stay on the correct line when reading paragraphs—that her difficulties were finally rectified. Grace believes in Brain Balance because she knows our team would have caught her issue right away and helped her thrive in her best life so much sooner. She is grateful for our whole-person, integrative approach in which we improve the multitude of underlying issues leading to the outward difficulties our students face with attention, social-emotional skills, behavior, sensory processing, relationships, executive functions, and learning. Grace is adept at attending to the developmental, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of children, teens, adults, and families. Her knowledge of all things Spider-Man, Paw Patrol, and Coco Melon also helps her quickly establish rapport with kids. She combines her personal and professional background with patience, kindness, and empathy to connect with and serve our incredible Brain Balance families and students of all ages, motivating them to grow into the best version of themselves while having fun.
Leanne Cook
Family Coordinator
