Sheila Dwyer, MA, LMFT

Sheila has a Master’s degree in Counseling from University of St. Mary’s-Minnesota. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been practicing in the field for over 15 years. She has worked in a variety of settings; in-home, private practice, inpatient, and middle/high schools. Her passion is working with children and families in the school setting where she worked closely with teachers and guidance counselors to support students who were struggling with ADHD, EBD and Learning Disorders and assisted in collaboration with teachers and parents on a child’s IEP plan. Sheila also was an adjunt professor at local community colleges where she taught family systems theory; the understanding that when one member of the family is experiencing challenges, the whole family is affected.
Sheila is passionate about helping children and families have successful experiences in life; promoting individual well-being and family health. Sheila is married with 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. She strongly believes that helping children is a multi-faceted approach and she is enthusiastic about bringing Brain Balance to Minnesota. The program promotes positive changes that allow children to be successful at home, school and social environments.
Angie has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Catherine’s University and an A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Lake Superior College. Her passion is working with children to achieve their greatest potential. Angie is married with two children. She enjoys reading, walking her dog named Berry, and being involved in her boys’ activities.
Abby has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Psychology from Bethel University. She has a lot of experience working with various age groups of children from being a hockey coach, weekly mentoring teenagers, and teaching students (8th – 12th grade) through presentations on risk-free choices.
Abby loves seeing a student’s eyes light up when they reach their goals and try their best. She enjoys getting to know all the students and families at Brain Balance. In Abby’s free time, she loves to spend time outside with her husband either on a lake, on a walk, or hammocking. In our Minnesota winters, Abby loves to play board games and ice skate.
Jack is a recent graduate from the University of St Thomas with a Business Finance degree. Jack played 2 years of football at UST. Jack has volunteered for Special Olympics and has coached lacrosse. Jack enjoys exercising, playing a variety of sports and helping young kids overcoming obstacles to achieve their personal best.

Amanda has a Bachelor’s degree in ministry and has served as a kid’s pastor and assistant preschool teacher prior to coming to Brain Balance. She has worked with kids ages birth to 12th grade for many years, and it brings her great joy to come alongside the younger generation and their parents with encouragement and support! Amanda is married and has 3 kids of her own ages 10, 8, and 5. She loves creating family memories with her crew!

Molly has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from University of St. Thomas. Molly loves to work with children, and has experience with children of all ages and abilities. She has been a vacation Bible school leader and an assistant soccer coach for 6th graders. Molly loves the holistic aspect of Brain Balance, and she enjoys watching kids grow and develop into the best versions of themselves. Because of Molly’s love for music, in college she participated in choir all four years. She also enjoys soccer, spending time outside, and traveling. She loves visiting her family in Florida, not only because of the sunshine but because she values family time.

Tracy graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Tracy has worked in the Washington County school district for 13 years. She works with preschoolers and loves it. She also loves working at Brain Balance, as she gets the opportunity to work with children of different ages. Tracy loves seeing students succeed and reach their goals. In Tracy’s free time, she enjoys going to concerts, and doing the following outdoor activities: golfing, paddle boarding, skiing, biking, and volleyball. Tracy also enjoys spending time with her 3 boys and her little Yorkie dog named “Swish.”
Diane has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She has deep experience in community engagement, business development, and sales. Diane enjoyed many successful years developing business for major media companies before redirected her energy to focus on raising her children while volunteering and working part time for the local school district. Her experience with the school district uncovered her true passion, which is helping children overcome development barriers and collaborating with educators and parents to identify innovative solutions to their challenges.
Outside of Brain Balance, Diane remains an active volunteer with her church as well as the local schools and music programs. She is married with two teenage sons, and brings a deep passion for helping children overcome obstacles and flourish.

Anita has a Master’s degree in education from Hamline and a Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University. She has been a K-6 teacher for over 10 years and loves working with kids! Anita lives in Woodbury with her husband and three kids. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, being outside, and long-distance biking. Anita thinks Brain Balance is an amazing place because of the supportive coaches and wonderful kids. She enjoys coaching the kids to do their best and loves to see their improvement.
