As Thanksgiving approaches, many of us find ourselves reflecting on what we're grateful for, the people who make our lives special, and the ways we can make a difference in the lives of others. It's also a wonderful time to look beyond our own tables and consider how we can support the families, neighbors, and organizations that make our community stronger.

Here in Columbia and throughout Howard County, there are so many organizations working to support local families, address food insecurity, and help children and individuals with different needs access the resources and community they deserve.

Giving back doesn't have to mean making a large financial contribution or committing hours of your time. Donating pantry staples, volunteering at a community event, purchasing supplies from an organization's wish list, or sharing helpful resources can all make a difference.

Whether you're looking for a cause to support as an individual, a family, or a group, here are some local organizations to consider adding to your Thanksgiving giving list.
