Ann Cahill, MS, OTR/L, MBA

Owner and Executive Director

Meet our owner, Ann Cahill! Ann, and her husband Jim have owned the Overland Park Brain Balance since 2018 and acquired the Kansas City center in early 2023! Ann has her MBA and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy and was a pediatric occupational therapist for over 20 years in the St. Louis and North Kansas City area before entering the Brain Balance world in order to make a bigger impact on the lives of the families we serve. Ann’s favorite part of Brain Balance is to “see the positive changes we see and the restoration of joy in the lives of our students and families!” While not at Brain Balance, which is rare, you can find Ann spending time with family and learning more about how to make the brain work to its BEST potential!

Leslie McElroy

Operations Director - Kansas City

Meet Director Leslie from our Kansas City Center! In the past, Leslie has worked as a graphic designer but found herself working for Brain Balance for a more personal reason... “As a mom who raised a son on the spectrum, I can testify the non-medicinal approach works! Brain Balance is a powerful tool, a complete tool, when approached fully with dietary changes and family support. As parents, it's understandable to get overwhelmed with what to do now, and as we think about the future. The more plugged in we are to the process - our kids know we have their backs. The whole family heals in the journey.” When not at Brain Balance Leslie loves to hang out with her husband and two kids and she also started her own line of greeting cards last year! Leslie joined Brain Balance as a coach in early 2024 but her leadership skills shined from early on and was promoted to Operation Director in late 2024.

Morgan Niehaus

Admissions Director - Overland Park and Kansas City

Meet our Admissions Director, Morgan! While Morgan mainly works out of our Overland Park center, she loves to come visit families she has enrolled up at the Kansas City location! Morgan has her Master’s in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her favorite part about working at Brain Balance is helping families. “I love being able to help families find answers for their concerns. It feels so good to have your concerns validated and have a solution to those concerns and that is what I get to do every day!” While not at Brain Balance, Morgan loves to hang out with her husband, two kids, and friends. Her and her husband are also Chiefs season ticket members so they love spending Sundays with the rest of Chiefs Kingdom!!

Amber Pei

Operations Director - Overland Park

Meet our program director, Amber! Amber is an Occupational Therapy Assistant and has served our Brain Balance community for 5.5 years now! While Amber is full-time at our Overland Park location, she helps oversee all students and coaching at both Kansas City locations! Amber has worked as a youth dance and tumbling instructor and has served as an instructor in the Occupation Therapy Assistant Program with Neosho County Community College. Her favorite part of Brain Balance is “working with students and seeing the positive changes and impact that our program has made on their lives.” While not at Brain Balance, Amber loves to spend time with family, friends and her two dogs. She also loves to travel and read in her spare time!

Jim Cahill, CPSM

Owner, Program Director - Overland Park

Jim comes to Brain Balance after a successful career in Purchasing and Supply Management. As with many people, our Covid period allowed Jim to look introspectively at his true talents and calling. He is gifted at connecting with children and adults. So, it was time to join his wife, Ann, at Brain Balance to continue his journey in serving people. His gift of light hearted humor creates a safe, secure and happy environment in which to work hard on self development. He has thrived in his role working with parents while educating them and holding their hand throughout their Brain Balance journey. He has brought all the skills he gained in his executive roles in business to enhance everything we do at Brain Balance and enrich the lives of the students and families we serve.

Daniel Smith

Assistant Director

Daniel joined us in June 2024 after relocating from Saint Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Benedictine College in 2023. He has seven siblings and loves spending time with family and friends. Some of his hobbies include reading, cooking, playing guitar and piano, and weightlifting. He is excited to work at Brain Balance and to get to know the families we serve. Daniel will be a name behind many communication received from Brain Balance. He is at the front desk of the Overland Park location, handles abundant administrative duties for both centers and also coaches when the need arises. Daniel is looking forward to getting married in 2025!

Savanah Judd

Assistant Program and Operations Director

Savannah joined us as a coach in early 2024. She was an instant success in that role and was hungry to take on more and learn more. She increased her capacity this summer when she volunteered to join our social media committee and helped us add more followers in 3 months than is typical. Savanah is patient, soft spoken and kind yet a quick study and very sharp. We are excited to advance Savanah’s role with us and know she will serve our customers and students well! Savannah is originally from Kentucky. She is driven by the joy of seeing kids grow, thrive, and discover their potential. At Brain Balance, her passion for holistic wellness comes to life as she works to support each student’s unique journey. Alongside her years of administrative experience, she enjoys being able to create a space to help each student reach success!

Cate Cahill

Social Media Coordinator

Cate is Jim and Ann’s youngest daughter and is currently a high school senior. As the wave of social media grows and grows, we wanted to increase our presence there and utilize its ability to help us educate our community. Cate took on the challenge of introducing us to TikTok and increasing our organic posts tenfold on Instagram and Facebook. She has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams and has handled the responsibility like a seasoned professional. Her content is alway very well thought out, professionally developed and posted according to a planned schedule. Cate also helps us out as a coach in the Overland Park location where she grows endeared to the students quickly. Cate plays tennis in her spare time and is a hopeful future K State Wildcat.
