Processing Disorders

Help with Auditory, Sensory, and Visual Processing Disorders

Do you have a child who has been diagnosed with a processing disorder or do you suspect your child may have a processing disordr?

Are you looking for ways to help them focus and bring out their true potential?

Brain Balance is a brain and body wellness program that helps children with processing disorders. The purpose of the Brain Balance Program is to engage the brain and body in such a way to help improve the way the brain functions, which has been shown to lead to improvements in how we feel and function in our daily lives.

How Can Brain Balance Help Kids with a Processing Disorder?

Brain Balance is a personalized, holistic program that engages the brain and body to address aspects of daily functioning, including emotional, social and behavioral issues. The program uses an integrated approach which combines cognitive brain training with sensorimotor exercises and nutritional guidance. This program does not prescribe medication and does not require a diagnosis.

Brain Balance does not require that a child has a medical or processing disorder diagnosis, nor do we clinically diagnose medical conditions. Our focus is on understanding why your child is struggling with sensory processing and helping them develop and strengthen the connections needed to reduce those struggles.

Research has shown that these processing disorder symptoms may be linked to weak connections across different regions of the brain. The good news is, we know that the brain can change in a way that may lead to improvements in these symptoms. The symptoms your child is coping with may improve through a combination of physical, sensory and cognitive activities that help build stronger connections across different regions of the brain, speeding up brain processing abilities.

The Brain Balance Program’s unique combination of activities is designed to drive meaningful change in the symptoms they are experiencing. As we explore how to help a child with Sensory Processing Disorder, we use what we learn in the assessment to set up a program that is tailored to your child.

Brain Balance Can Help Your Child

Brain Balance exercises and activities are uniquely designed to help strengthen and build new pathways by using a combination of physical, sensory, and cognitive activities. More efficient information pathways in the brain can lead to improvements in cognitive tasks (focus, memory, learning, comprehension, reasoning) and executive functioning (behaviors, emotions, organization, self-motivation and problem solving).
