Medication-Free Approach For Kids & Young Adults Struggling With ADHD

Brain Balance Allen and North Dallas Supports Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)

What is Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)

What is Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) ADHD is generally categorized into three main types, which are based on the primary symptoms individuals exhibit.

These types are:

1. Predominantly Inattentive Presentation (ADHD-PI or ADHD-I):

  • Individuals with this type primarily struggle with inattention. They may have difficulty sustaining attention on tasks or activities, often appear forgetful or easily distracted, and may have trouble organizing tasks or following through on instructions.
  • They may seem disorganized, have difficulty focusing on details, and frequently lose things needed for tasks.

2. Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation (ADHD-PH or ADHD-HI):

  • This type is characterized by hyperactivity and impulsivity without significant inattention. People with ADHD-HI may appear overly energetic, restless, and have difficulty staying seated or quiet when expected.
  • They often act without thinking, interrupt others, and have trouble waiting for their turn. In adults, these symptoms may manifest as restlessness, impulsivity in decision-making, or difficulty managing time and tasks effectively.

3. Combined Presentation (ADHD-C):

  • This is the most common type of ADHD, where individuals exhibit both significant inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms. They may have trouble focusing on tasks, be overly active, and struggle with impulsivity.
  • Symptoms may vary in severity and can impact various aspects of life, including school, work, relationships, and daily activities.

It's important to note that ADHD symptoms can vary widely among individuals and may change over time.

How Can Brain Balance Centers of Allen & North Dallas Help?

When children are enrolled in our program at Brain Balance Centers of Allen and North Dallas, we provide them with a personal assessment. The assessment allows us to determine the best way to address their needs. Then, we implement our integrated approach to ADHD. This program includes sensory motor training, academic activities, nutrition plans, and at-home exercises. Through the ADHD program, our goal is to bring parents and children together to help the child succeed. We believe that the best way to address ADHD is through natural remedies that focus on addressing the disorder rather than just eliminating the symptoms; so Brain Balance Centers of Allen and North Dallas ADHD support is a drug-free approach.
