Madi Burgess_Greenville

Madi Burgess

Director

Madi joined Brain Balance in May of 2021. She is now a Director at our Greenville center and is in charge of a wide variety of things such as enrollments, scheduling, center operations, and marketing. Madi was born and raised in Easley, SC and then went to the University of South Carolina to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Family Studies. Madi has held many positions while at Brain Balance such as coach, Program Director, and now Director. Madi loves the relationships she builds with the families and kids that come through the door each day here at Brain Balance, and only wants to expand her knowledge even more!

Outside of Brain balance, Madi enjoys spending time with her husband, Tucker, and their 2 dogs, Hudson and Rae. They love to travel with family and friends and are always down to watch a good football / baseball game! Madi loves being a part of an organization that changes lives everyday and helps families grow to their fullest potential!

Shayla_Greenville

Shayla Stone

Program Director

Shayla Stone joined Brain Balance in March of 2021. In her role she monitors student data and outcomes, meets regularly with the families to discuss student progress, and facilitates an environment designed to foster student health and growth. Shayla has over 10 years of experience working with children from diverse backgrounds. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Developmental Psychology and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology. She is a Board Certified Cognitive Specialist and has also obtained a certification specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Outside of Brain Balance, Shayla is a full-time mom to her 7-year-old son, Sage. With her free time, she enjoys hiking, working out, playing sports and games, or anything competitive! Her favorite part of being a program director is when she gets to work in the back with the kids and help them discover that they can achieve their goals and do hard things.

Emilia

Center Director

Emilia is the center director of Brain Balance of Greenville. As a mom of 2 boys, who have both gone through the Brain Balance program, she knows first hand the challenges parents face as they search for the right interventions. Emilia is often the first person parents meet when coming into the center and helps families navigate the program. She is a board certified cognitive specialist, and has a passion for learning about the brain and development. Outside of work Emilia loves to spend time with her family, be outside as much as possible, and loves to cook!
