Help for Children with Learning Disorders in Tulsa
About Learning Disorders
The Brain Balance program in Tulsa and across the country has helped tens of thousands of children with learning and developmental issues through an integrated, whole-child approach for over a decade. At the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Tulsa, we can help children with learning disorders through an integrated, drug-free approach.
Learning disorders are classified as a group of disorders that inhibit the brain’s ability to receive, process, store, and communicate information. These disorders affect as many as 1 in 5 people across the United States, and they can cause an individual to have academic and motor-skill challenges. Learning disorders can contribute to difficulties in academic performance, and they can cultivate low self-esteem and trouble developing interpersonal relationships.
There are four common learning disorders that the Brain Balance program can help with: Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia.
- Dyslexia - Children have trouble reading, recognizing letters, learning letter sounds, and identifying rhyming words. Initial signs include trouble learning to spell and write after a child begins school.
- Dysgraphia - Children have difficulty with fine-motor skills. Initial signs include distorted, incorrect handwriting.
- Dyscalculia - Children have problems learning fundamentals that include one or more basic numerical skills. Initial signs of this learning disorder includes trouble with basic addition and subtraction problems.
- Dyspraxia - Children have difficulty carrying out routine tasks, such as balance, fine-motor control, and kinesthetic coordination.

The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Tulsa Helps Children Succeed in the Classroom
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Tulsa helps children reach their academic and personal goals. Our Brain Balance Program begins with a personal assessment to evaluate your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses. After the initial assessment, our center will be able to develop a custom plan for your child based on their current physical, verbal, and comprehension skills. This plan will help the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Tulsa address your child’s specific challenges and uncover the root of the issue.
We understand that as a parent, it can be difficult to watch your child struggle. We can help. The Brain Balance program combines sensory motor and academic activities, with a nutritional program and at-home exercises in order to help your child reach their physical, social, and academic potential. Our program works to help children with learning disorders in Tulsa improve left-brain connectivity. Increasing left-brain activity leads to increased processing and learning skills.
