Amy Firek

Executive Director

Amy Firek is the Co-Owner of the Birmingham and Northville Brain Balance Achievement Centers in Michigan. She also serves as the Center Director for Birmingham and Northville.  Amy is passionate about helping kids.  As a proud mom of three children, she has always ensured her own kids had a healthy and natural diet and has incorporated holistic techniques in her family’s health care and learning.  Before Brain Balance, Amy held numerous positions in project management, sales, market research, quality and as a Six Sigma Black Belt where she streamlined and improved business processes.  This attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence is evident in the high-quality service Amy provides to her Brain Balance families.

Since opening Brain Balance of Birmingham in 2013, Amy has witnessed the program make life-altering changes to hundreds of families.  She is committed to the Centers having that “family” feel when you walk in.  She also wants the kids to enjoy coming to the center so one of her top priorities is to hire qualified staff that is fun and motivating.  It is a source of pride for Amy when kids complete the program and are sad to be done because they had so much fun coming here.  Being a mom of three children and being involved in this innovative, pioneering program and helping families is a source of pride and satisfaction for Amy, there is nothing else she would rather be doing. Amy personifies the Brain Balance mission: To make the Brain Balance Program available to as many children as possible so that each child may reach their greatest physical, mental, social and academic potential.

Stephanie McPartlin

Stephanie has a huge heart and a passion for helping children. She has Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and was a teacher for 5 years. Stephanie started with us part time while she was still teaching.  She joined Brain Balance full time after seeing the amazing changes Brain Balance was making with kids in the program and realizing she could make an even greater impact on kids’ lives by being here.  Her enthusiasm and dedication to children is evident from the moment you meet her and is a big part of what makes the Center so warm and inviting.
