These children often have trouble learning to spell and write once they are in school. The learning disorder Dyspraxia is characterized by having a difficulty in carrying out routine tasks involving balance, fine-motor control, and kinesthetic coordination. Dyscalculia often causes children to have problems understanding learning fundamentals including basic numerical skills. One sign of this type of learning disorder is challenges with basic addition and subtraction problems. Dysgraphia affects a child’s fine-motor skills and is characterized by distorted and incorrect handwriting.
