Max is an 8-year-old boy who has been diagnosed as a high-functioning autistic kid, someone with significant delays in speech & language development, and even auditory processing issues. We’ve had him evaluated and tested more than any kid should ever have to put up with. Luckily we were able to recognize some of his challenges at a young age, and through early intervention we’ve had him enrolled in speech therapy and other language services. While that has proved to be a benefit, we haven’t seen improvements and strides like we have in the past 12 weeks like we have with Brain Balance.
What I heard in Dr. Pete Scire’s Brain Balance lecture was life altering, not only for my daughter but for myself. He explained how autism, ADD and other disorders on the spectrum are due to Functional Disconnection Syndrome. The right and left hemispheres of the brain are not communicating, so my child and others are disconnected from themselves and the world. Miraculously all the pieces of the puzzle finally fit.
And with the help of the staff at Brain Balance, she overtime became stronger, smarter, trusting, controlled, interacting, and healthy. And the problems with her heart have ceased to the point she probably will never need surgery in her life. And she has grown! She has grown so much physically, mentally, and behaviorally, that when we went back to her Developmental Pediatrician, he was just floored and at a loss of words as to how much she has “caught up” in such a matter of time. Words you would never thought you would hear!
